1. Andre Arendse holds the record for the most number of minutes played without conceding a goal for Bafana Bafana. He played 693 minutes without conceding before he was beaten by Congolese striker Nachembe-Younga Mohani during the 1998 World Cup qualifier in Point Noire.
2. Hans Vonk conceded his first international goal for Bafana Bafana against a fraud player. DRC player Kanku Mulekelayi, who went on to play for Ajax Cape Town, represented Zambia as ‘Mathews Kamwashi’ when he scored against Vonk in a 1-1 draw in May 1998.
