Steve Komphela hopes for more rain when Golden Arrows face Pitso Mosimane's Mamelodi Sundowns in Telkom Knockout semifinal

After their 3-2 defeat in their league match, Mosimane complained about the drainage at the venue after heavy rain and said he hoped the Telkom Knockout semifnal would be move to another stadium.

Arrows did not adhere to that request and the cup clash will be plated at the same venue, and Komphela said he hopes for more rain on Saturday so it will be even more difficult for Masandawana.

As things stands, rain and thunderstorms have been forecast for Saturday in Durban.

"Ngizocela uNkulunkulu, angithi abayifuni imvula [I will ask God, they don't want rain right]?" Komphela said.

"It must rain, abayifuni e-Clermont siyakhona [they don't want it at Clermont, we are going there] because when we go to Pretoria they don't make it easy for us, so let's give them what they don't want."

Komphela knows Sundowns have huge experience in terrible conditions and they have seen worse in other countries while playing in the CAF Champions League.

He reckons they should survive at Sugar Ray Xulu and believes the pitch is much better than what Mosimane's side have seen in other countries.

"They are a top side, they are used to conditions that are adverse, they've been to Africa," Komphela argued.

"If they complain about modest discomfort, you should plead for more because in other countries it's worse in terms of traveling logistics and all that transport, sometimes hotels and training facilities are not up to standard.

"If they complain about here at home, mina I wish it was even worse. Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium is tops, it is up to the standard of the PSL."
