Mphahlele 'surprised' by Mosele failing to report for Bafana Bafana duty

Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has shared his shock at reports that former player Goodman Mosele had failed to report for national team duty.

The Orlando Pirates midfielder was confirmed to have absconded from Bafana Bafana training ahead of this weekend's FIFA World Cup qualifying double-header against Ethiopia.

South Africa face the Ethiopians in an away Group G encounter on Saturday before a return leg at home on October 12.

"I really, really don't know and I'm also surprised." Responded Mphahlele to snl24.com/kickoff when asked about the player's actions.

"He never missed a match (at Baroka) that boy. He never missed a match, I don't know what is happening.

"I tried to call him yesterday I couldn't find him. Of course, I am disappointed. I'm very much disappointed."

Asked to give the Bakgaga development product some advice through this publication, Mphahlele said,

"I must talk to him, I must find out what happened before I can comment further. We don't know what happened."

KickOff tried to contact Mosele on his phone but it rang unanswered.
