Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Sergio dos Santos has slammed trigger-happy DStv Premiership club owners for the treatment of head coaches.
Just six matches into the current 2021/22 Season, TS Galaxy FC have already replaced head coach Owen Da Gama, while Swallows FC recently placed Brandon Truter on "special leave".

Truter has since returned to the Swallows hot-seat while assistant Kamaal Sait is now the one who has been suspended.
"Brandon Truter, they told him to go on special leave, and they've lost every game since he went on special leave," Ex-Chiefs coach Sergio dos Santos tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"Owners of football clubs unfortunately all over the world, but especially in South Africa, there's no question about it, they are very, very quick to pull the trigger.
"Brandon Truter last year did a fantastic job with Swallows. You know you got promoted from the GladAfrica Championship, and he had a fantastic season last year.
"But because at the halfway mark he had done so well, the owners of the club were expecting something big. Unfortunately, they didn't win enough games to be a force at the end of the season.
"But they still did a fantastic job because if you look at the squad it's a very good squad but not an excellent squad.
"And the proof is in the pudding because this year they are completely different to what they were last year. Now they put Truter on special leave, and they've lost every single game since he's been on special leave, what does that tell you? Is it the players or is it the coach?
"Da Gama, same story. He went to Galaxy last year. He did a fantastic job. Now this year he's struggling a little bit. So the question is, is it the coach or is it the players? Because the squad from last year is almost the same squad as this year.
"So maybe the squad last year wasn't good enough but he did a fantastic job with them. You know these clubs think that because they had a good season then they don't have to sign any new players you see. That is where the problem comes in.
"The coach is working as hard as he did last year, but the quality of the squad is not good enough. A coach doesn't become bad from one day to the next.
"AmaZulu last year. What Benni McCarthy did there was unbelievable. It was good enough to win the league if he has been there from the very start of the season. This year they are struggling a little bit. So are you trying to tell me all of a sudden Benni McCarthy has become a bad coach?
"Gavin Hunt struggled at Chiefs, but he couldn't sign any new players right? He got them into the semi-final of the CAF Champions League...So give him a chance, wait a little bit until the new season, he's going to have new players.
"So when is the right time to fire a coach? The right time is when the owners of the clubs sit down, look at the squad, the quality, listen to what the coach tells you in terms of opinion at the beginning of the year. Tell you if the expectation is reasonable or unreasonable. Then you can make a decision."
