Anele Ngcongca not using rain and thunderstorms in Durban as an excuse in Telkom Knockout semifinal against Golden Arrows

Arrows host Sundowns at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in the Telkom Knockout semifinals on Saturday (15h00) for a place in the cup final.

The last time Sundowns visited Arrows they were beaten 3-2 and coach Pitso Mosimane blamed the result on the weather and a poor drainage system at the venue.

According to the latest weather forecast, Durban could be affected by more heavy rainfall and thunderstorms on Saturday.

Despite the weather conditions, Masandawana defender Anele Ngcongca is hoping for a better result against Abafana Bes'thende.

"We can't be complaining about the weather because both teams play in the same weather. Of course at Sundowns we play our best football when the weather is okay," said Ngconga.

"On Saturday we will go there and give our best. We have to finish this year with something. Hopefully we can go all the way and win the Telkom."

Sundowns have already missed the chance to win the MTN8 trophy and The Brazilians now hoping to finish the year with some silverware.

"At Sundowns we compete for every cup. We missed the MTN8. Now we have a second chance with the Telkom. That's the beauty of the game, it gives you a second chance and of course we have to try and get this one," added Ngcongca.
