A complaint has been filed against a referee and his matchday team in Ghana after some controversial decisions were reportedly made over the weekend.
In November, it was confirmed that the Ghana Premier League (GPL) refereeing quartet of Mahama Ewuntoma, Eso Doh Morrison, Gabriel Opoku Arhin and Andrew Awurisa had all been handed suspensions by the league's match review panel.

It now appears that more of the country's top flight officials could find themselves in trouble after Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko formally filed a complaint against referee Julian Nunoo, linesmen Kwesi Brobbey and Rolland Addy, and fourth official Daniel Laryea following their fixture against King Faisal on Sunday.
King Faisal walked away from the tie with three points after securing a 3-2 win to go level on points with Asante at the top of the GPL table.
It is said that one of the decisions the Porcupine Warriors are unhappy with came when they were awarded a penalty in the first half after Mudasiru Salifu's strike looked to hit the hand of an opposing player in the box, but after deliberating with his assistants, referee Nunoo decided to rescind his initial decision, according to kickgh.com.
Another questionable call in the fixture arose when a goal from forward George Mfegue was disallowed for offside, with Asante's players and coaching staff believing the strike should have stood.
On Monday, afternoon, the Porcupine Warriors announced via social media that they had formally lodged a complaint with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as a result.
"We have lodged a formal complaint with the @ghanafaofficial against the referees who officiated our #GPL2122 matchday-6 game against King Faisal in Kumasi last Sunday," a post on the club's official Twitter account read.
It remains to be seen what punishment, if any, is meted out by the GFA.
