Emiliano Sala father, 58, passes away three months after sons tragic death after plane crash
The father of Emiliano Sala, who was killed in a plane crash earlier this year, has died three months after the tragedy involving his son. Daniel Ribero, from San Martin de Progreso, told C5N TV channel that Mr Sala had passed away before doctors arrived at his home in Progreso. Horacio Sala, 58, collapsed on Friday morning at his home and could not be revived, the mayor of his home town told Red Radio, La Nacion newspaper reported. Emiliano, 28, died after the plane he was travelling in crashed into the English Channel in January and had just completed a £15 million transfer to Cardiff City The Argentine footballer was on his way to joining his new club from Ligue 1 side Nantes in a club record £15m deal when the crash happened over the English Channel.
