Magesi FC coach Owen Da Gama admitted Kaizer Chiefs were the better team in Tuesday's Betway Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium.
Ashley Du Preez was the difference maker after coming off the bench in the second half to secure the 1-0 win over the Limpopo outfit.
Injuries to key players, playing with a make-shift defence were some of the factors on display for the Carling Knockout champions who don't have the quality in depth.

"Look, we don't really have the quality in depth. We tried to change around because of the injuries, but let's be fair Chiefs were the better team today. They could've scored more goals, we defended pathetically," Da Gama told SuperSport TV.
"But it's the first time we played with that defence due to injuries, but you never know on the day who is going to do what but the boys gave it their all. You must give credit to Chiefs, they were the better team and they won today," Da Gama continued.
With no action scheduled for the weekend, Dikwena Tsa Meetse are back in action next Tuesday against Richards Bay FC and fight to beat the drop intensifies.
Da Gama sweats on the fitness of defensive engine Samuel Darpoh who will bring much needed stability to their defence and was vital in the win over SuperSport United.
"We got seven days till the next game against Richards Bay, hopefully the injured players will… we didn't really want to push them and they are out for three-four weeks.
"But we really keeping our fingers crossed that Darpoh can come back you know so that he can stabilise that defence again," Da Gama noted.
"He was absolutely brilliant against SuperSport, but we missed today. But in saying that we can only give it our best and well done to Chiefs," added the veteran mentor who was managing his 400th match in the South African top flight.
