The defender has signed a contract until August 2027 with the Libyan giants, who also secured the signings of Sidi Bouna Amar from Wydad Athletic Club and Kahraba from Al Ahly on loan.
Speaking for the first time since his transfer, Al Ittihad released an introduction video of the centre-back on their Facebook, in which the player acknowledged that his name might be difficult to pronounce for those in Libya.
"My name is Thatayaone Ditlhokwe. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the president of Ittihad for giving me the opportunity to come and showcase my talent.
"I would also like to tell the fans that I know my name is difficult to pronounce, but they can just call me 'TT'."
Notably, Al Ittihad is the fifth club of Ditlhokwe's professional career, as he has previously represented Gaborone United, Township Rollers, SuperSport United, and Chiefs.
In total, Ditlhokwe made just 32 appearances for the Glamour Boys.
He is now also Chiefs' third most expensive departure, behind Knowledge Musona and Valery Nahayo.
