Manchester City moved up to fourth place on the Premier League table with a 6-0 thrashing of Ipswich Town on Sunday evening.
Pep Guardiola made four changes from the 2-2 draw with Brentford, as Ederson, Ilkay Gundogan, Ruben Dias and Jeremy Doku as they pushed for a return to winning ways.
It took a while for the visitors to get going but they opening the scoring after 26 minutes as Phil Foden continued his fine form by turning home Kevin de Bruyne's cross.
It got better for Guardiola's charges four minutes later after Mateo Kovacic doubled the lead with a lovely strike from the edge of the box after getting on the end of Foden's lay-off.
Foden had the final say in the first half after completing his brace five minutes before the interval with another close-range finish from De Bruyne's cross to round off an emphatic first half.
The Cityzens carried that momentum into the second period and were rewarded with the fourth goal as Doku got his second goal of the season with a deflected effort.
Doku was instrumental down the left flank as he weaved his way into the box before picking out Erling Haaland to slot home his 17th league goal as Ipswich had no answer for the champions.
The rout continued with 20 minutes left on the clock as substitute James McAtee got in on the act by getting on the end of Kovacic's cross and nodding home his first league goal of the campaign.
The win takes City back into the top four as they now shift focus to Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
