Radebe issues advice to Mofokeng

Bafana Bafana legend Lucas Radebe has offered a word of advice to Orlando Pirates' rising star Relebohile Mofokeng who scooped yet another accolade recently.

Mofokeng has had a sensational start to the season with four goals and seven assists in 18 appearances so far.

The 20-year-old has also been at the receiving end of plenty of accolades. He was recently named the Gauteng Sports Star of the Year 2024.

If that was not enough, the crafty winger was also recently named the Sports Person of the Year at the GQ MOTY 2024 awards, hosted at The River Meadow Manor in Centurion.

Radebe, who also walked away with an award of his own on the night, offered a word of caution to the young star.

"You know times like this when you are on a high, it's very important, that's when you need to focus," Radebe told Mofokeng in a brief viral video circulating across social media.

"Because there is life after football and it comes quickly. With a lot of responsibilities. So you've got a chance."

Radebe is no stranger to stardom, having captained Kaizer Chiefs before moving to English Premier League side Leeds United where he also became captain.

The retired centre-back was also part of the Bafana Bafana side that won the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations.

Mofokeng could be in line match or even better that glittering career with a European move beckoning while he blossoms at Orlando Pirates.
