Best of luck, Kalvin ??
A statement on City's official website said: "Phillips will now link up with the Hammers for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.
"Everyone at Manchester City wishes Kalvin the very best of luck during his time at the London Stadium."
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal includes a buy option worth £40 million (R959 million) should the Hammers decide to make the transfer permanent.
The 28-year-old joined City in July 2022 from Leeds United, but things have not gone accordingly since as he made a grand total of just 31 appearances in all competitions, registering just one goal in the process.
In a statement on West Ham's official website, Phillips expressed his delight about joining the London club.
"I'm really pleased to be here," the Yorkshireman, who will wear the Hammers' No. 11 shirt, said.
"There's always been a lot of speculation about me moving to West Ham, so I'm really excited to get going now.
"There's so much to look forward to in the second half of the season for the Club and I can't wait to be part of it.
"There's an unbelievable group here and if I can come in and add the quality that I know I'm capable of, I'm sure we can give the West Ham fans plenty to be excited about between now and the end of the season."
