St. Louis City midfielder Njabulo Blom continued to stamp his authority in the United States' MLS with another dominant performance in a 3-0 win over Houston Dynamo over the weekend.
After overcoming, illness and injury, the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder is gradually returning to his best with Saturday no exception with Blom receiving plenty of praise for his performance in the recent win.

The 23-year-old won eight of his ten individual duels, made seven ball recoveries, three interceptions and two clearances.
"Blom is really big. Sometimes you hold your breath after a turnover, and we've been able to have someone step up and break up play," City head coach Bradley Carnell said post-match.

The win was City's third consecutive victory and elevated his side to the top of the Western Conference, one point above second- placed Seattle Sounders with three matches in hand.
"I think for us it's a matter of standing in authority because it's our home ground… so we can't let anyone come and disrespect us on our home field," Blom told media after the match.

St Louis have won every match where Blom has played the full 90 minutes with the midfielder likely to play an important role for Bafana head coach Hugo Broos.
Blom next will face LA Galaxy on Sunday.
