Dolly responds to Chiefs critics

Kaizer Chiefs vice-captain Keagan Dolly says it he understands that Amakhosi supporters are unhappy with the club's inconsistency but doesin't let the criticism affect him.

With rivals Orlando Pirates having already won the MTN8 and Mamelodi Sundowns well-on track to secure the DStv Premiership title, Amakhosi remain at risk of fishing another season without a trophy to show for and supporters have not been shy to voice their dissatisfaction.

"I know it's their right to judge us and the performances but there is no player that wants to go out on to the field and not do their best," Dolly said, when asked how the players are dealing the the criticism.

"You know I feel like each and every player that has been playing for this club has ben trying their level best. I know sometimes we might not give them the results they want but if they feel like that [disappointed], imagine how we feel.

"We're the ones that go out there, that sacrifice a lot, to leave our families at home and we try and do our best but it [the criticism] is understandable. They have the right to feel the way they do.

"For me personally, I don't look deep into it. I've been playing football for quiet some time now. I've been on the other side of winning, I've been on the other side of not getting the results, but it comes with experience and I take it.

"I'm one of the leaders at the club, I'm one of the experienced players and you know, I have to be the example for the youngsters. I shouldn't let those type of things from outside affect me, I should come to training with my head held high and still work hard.

"I always say that I try my best on and off the field to be a good example for the youngsters."
