Al Nassr top scorer 'angry' since Ronaldo joined

Al Nassr's top goalscorer this season is reportedly angry with Cristiano Ronaldo's impact at the Saudi Pro League club since joining.

The Portuguese forward has been in free-scoring form since making the move to the Middle East, having found the back of the net eight times in six matches across all competitions.

Despite joining in the middle of the campaign at the turn of the year, the ex-Manchester United striker is now in the race for the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot, with his teammate Anderson Talisca currently in first position with 13 strikes.

Ronaldo received a host of benefits when he arrived at Al Nassr, including being handed the captain's armband, while winger Jaloliddin Masharipov had to change his jersey number to ensure the veteran got the No. 7 shirt.

Now, according to Arab journalist Muhammad Al-Bukairy, forward partner Talisca is upset with his decreased prominence in the team since the five-time Ballon d'Or winner joined the club.

"The arrival of the big star [Cristiano Ronaldo] moved him [Talisca] from No. 1 into oblivion, which made him angry, as it happened against the French team (PSG) when they put him on the bench," the reporter wrote on Twitter.

The Brazilian was surprisingly left out of the Riyadh All-Star XI line-up, consisting of players from both Al Nassr and Al Hilal, that faced Lionel Messi's Paris Saint-Germain in a friendly earlier this year despite being the league's top goalscorer.

The South American was also left out of Al Nassr's matchday squad for their 3-0 win over Damac on Saturday, during which Ronaldo scored a hat-trick, but it is believed he was unavailable for selection due to an injury.

The journalist added that, with Talisca angry about the situation, he could now be line for a return to Turkey, where he previously played for Besiktas.
