New Burnley FC striker Lyle Foster's father Mr Lance Foster says his son's move to the English Championship is a reward for his hard work and courage.
On Wednesday, table-toppers Burnley unveiled the signing of the Bafana Bafana forward on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
"I knew all along, negotiations started in November already [laughs]," Foster senior tells KickOff.com.
"I think it's everyone's dream to play in the Premier League, and Lyle is now one step away. Lyle has always been a hard worker you know, from the age of 18, going to Europe early, not giving up.

"There have been difficult times but not even once he said Aargh I'm coming back home. He kept on pushing when things were not going his way. He never gave up he never thought of returning home.
"Today he is fluent in both French and Portuguese languages. He has grown as a person. So now he's going to be in a different and difficult league so obviously it's a new challenge for him, obviously, I think he's also excited.
"There was a time he struggled a bit, but I've watched Lyle's games and even if he was not scoring he was playing well.
"The first year at Cercle Brugge in Belgium he got four or five goals disallowed through VAR during that season you know.
"But of course that year they played him as a right winger, in one game they played him as a right back.
"At Guimaraes he had Covid, two or three times, my mother and my sister passed away in a space of three days, and there were also injuries.
"So he couldn't find the rhythm while in Portugal, but not even once did he phone and say I'm coming back home.
"He kept on pushing, he put his football career upfront. He's always been determined you know."
