Orlando Pirates defender Tapelo Xoki has revealed the emotional roller-coaster of clinching the MTN8 trophy by defeating AmaZulu, a team he captained last season.
The Buccaneers clinched their second MTN8 trophy in three years with a 1-0 victory against AmaZulu on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
For the Buccaneers, the trophy ended a 2-year run without silverware but for the ex-AmaZulu captain, roped in by the Sea Robbers at the start of the season, the triumph was bittersweet one.
"The were a lot of emotions prior to the game," revealed Xoki.
"Before we played them [AmaZulu] in the league it was the same. What I like and I love is that the respect they have for me and I have for them is mutual.

"After the game, my heart was bleeding for them, I won't lie. As much as we [Pirates] were happy and excited, I was feeling for them. I know the club, where it comes from and where it wants to go.
"But now I'm here and I have to give my all while I'm here.
"It's one of those, where emotions are part of it."
Xoki potentially could battle with his former side again on Saturday in the Carling Black Label Cup. The one-day tournament will feature Pirates, Chiefs, AmaZulu and Sundowns.
The match between Chiefs and Pirates will kick off at 12:00 and will be the second semi-final of the day, after AmaZulu and Mamelodi Sundowns lock horns at 9:30.
The winners from the two clashes will battle it out in the final at 17:00.
