Inter Milan missed the chance to reclaim top spot in the Serie A table after being held to a 2-2 draw by Parma in a four-goal thriller on Saturday evening at the San Siro Stadium.

Inter loanee Yann Karamoh haunted his parent club, after netting the equaliser after Antonio Candreva had opened the scoring for Nerazzurri, and setup a goal for Gervinho, who gave the visitors a 2-1 lead on the half-hour mark.

Antonio Conte's charges were rescued by Romelu Lukaku, who secured the equaliser six minutes after the break.

Genoa came from behind to beat Brescia 3-1 on Saturday afternoon at Stadio Communale Luigi Ferraris.

Sandro Tonali broke the deadlock for Brescia in the first stanza but Genoa rallied in the second stanza as, Kevin Agudelo equalised in the 66th minute, while Christian Kouame and Goran Pandev secured the three points in the latter stages.

Bayern Munich maintained their top position in the Bundesliga table after edging Union Berlin 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Allianz Arena.

Benjamin Pavard got an early opener for the Bavarians, while Robert Lewandowski made it 2-0 eight minutes after the break. Niko Kovac's men had a nervy ending in the match after Sebastien Polter pulled a goal back for Union Berlin from the penalty spot with four minutes remaining but the hosts held on for victory.

Schalke and Borussia Dortmund played to a goalless draw in the Ruhr derby on Saturday afternoon at Veltins-Arena.

Schalke had the better chances to win the match but hit the woodwork twice, while also being denied by goalkeeper Marwin Hitz, who earned Dortmund a point with great saves.

RB Leipzig extended their winless run in the Bundesliga to four matches after they went down 2-1 to Freiburg on Saturday afternoon at Schwarzwald-Stadion.

Nicolas Hofler broke the deadlock for Freiburg in first half stoppages, while Nils Petersen secured the three points for the hosts in the last minute of regulation time.

Lukas Klostermann pulled a goal back for RB Leipzig in stoppage time but it was too little too late.
