Cristiano Ronaldo being outscored by son Cristiano Junior in remarkable season for Juventus U9s

Cristiano Ronaldo has forged as an iconic career as one of the greatest footballers of all-time and his son is seemingly following in his footsteps with records tumbling within the Juventus academy.

Ronaldo's son has scored almost twice as many goals for Juve as he has managed since they moved to Italy in 2018.

'Cristianinho' has been playing for the club's academy since his father joined the club from Real Madrid in a club-record transfer.

According to Football Talent Scout, the promising forward has scored a staggering scoring 58 goals - while providing 18 assists.

Meanwhile, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has netted 34 goals during that same period, with his return of 28 last term being his worst in a decade.

"He is playing for Juventus and adapting really well," Ronaldo told DAZN of his son. "It has been easier for him than for me.

"I hope that [he] can be like his dad. He says he is going to be better, but I think it's difficult."

Ronaldo Jr scored four goals on his debut for Juventus U9s in September last year, according to Tuttosport, and in April, he scored seven in a single half against CS Maritimo, as per AS.
