Alexis Sanchez: Inter's Antonio Conte makes worrying claim over Manchester United loanee
Inter manager Antonio Conte has issued a worrying assessment of Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez, just one month into his loan deal. Sanchez, 30, was shipped out of United after scoring three leagues goals in 32 appearances after joining the club from Arsenal as the highest-paid player in the Premier League. In a bid to recapture the form that made him one of the most feared attackers in Europe, the return to Italy under Conte is seemingly not going according to plan. The two-time Copa America winner came on for the final 10 minutes of Inter's 1-0 win over Udinese just after the international break and look poised to be eased into the starting XI. However, he's now failed to earn a spot off the bench in both the Champions League draw with Slavia Prague or the Milan derby victory on Saturday. And speaking in his press conference ahead of Inter's clash with Lazio, Conte suggested he won't jeopardise his team's results to build the fitness levels of the former FC Barcelona forward. "For him, it is worth the words I give for everyone else," Conte said, as per Football Italia. "When I see ready players, they will be inserted [into the XI]. I have to work in the interest of Inter, not of individuals."
