Manchester United could now reportedly be set for a change of heart regarding Mason Greenwood's future at the club.
The striker – who was arrested in January 2022 but had the charges of attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning bodily harm against him dropped in February this year – remains sidelined from all club activities, with a final decision over his future now in the hands of the owners, the Glazer family, and CEO Richard Arnold.

It is believed the Red Devils have been exploring several options as to what to do with the player, including selling him completely, terminating his contract with full pay, loaning him out, or reintegrating him into the team.
However, the latter option reportedly does not sit well with United women's team, with many of them feeling it could set a bad precedent at Old Trafford.
Club investors are also concerned about the backlash his return could have on their commercial endeavours.
Last week, it was reported that the Red Devils were considering loaning him out for the 2023/24 season before allowing him back into the fold again, with his current contract running until June 2025.
One thing that is clear, though, is that Ten Hag appreciates the contribution the forward could make for his team, with his track record for scoring goals being something the manager reportedly feels his team needs given how heavily they relied on Marcus Rashford to hit the back of the net this past season.
Now, according to The Sun, the Dutch boss would be happy to reintroduce the 21-year-old to the squad, and his teammates are willing to welcome him back too.
A source told the British publication: "Mason was delighted to hear that the manager and most of his teammates would welcome him back.
"He firmly believes he is an innocent man and is very frustrated he's not been able to play.
"He understands that the club have had to carry out an investigation, but he feels like his career is slipping by.
"He and his team have made clear to United that they now want to know what is happening.
"They have basically said, 'sack him or back him'.
"If they want to reintegrate him, then do so. If they want to sell him, then tell him.
"And if they want to loan him out, then tell them so his team can find the best club for him."

It remains unclear when the final decision will be made, but it is expected to be taken before United begin their pre-season training on 17 July.
