Ten Hag explains shock Sancho u-turn

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has explained the decision to bring Jadon Sancho back in the team ahead of the new season.

Sancho spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund after a public falling out with Ten Hag.

Ten Hag expressed his dissatisfaction with Sancho's training levels, with the player responding on social media disagreeing with his manager.

However, Sancho returned to training last weekend and started in United's 2-0 win over Rangers on Saturday.

The Dutchman reveals he spoke it out with the England international and they have moved on from the situation.

"We spoke well. Anyone can make a mistake," Ten Hag told reporters, as per Goal.

"If the player reflects well on that, then you draw a line and move on again.

"This club needs good players, and one thing is for sure: Jadon is a terribly good player.

"I hope that the click still comes and that he will contribute to our success."

The Red Devils will now depart for the United States, where they will take on Real Madrid, Arsenal and Liverpool.
