Goals from Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos got Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain back to winning ways against Nice on Saturday evening.
PSG looked to make their intensions clear early on when Lionel Messi found some space just outside the area and curled one wide of the upright inside five minutes.
However, ten minutes and the visitors had to re-shuffle the pack as Fabian Ruiz made his way onto the park in place of Renato Sanches, who picked up an injury.
The breakthrough did arrive on 26 minutes as Nuno Mendes needed two attempts to pick out Messi, who found the back of the net with a first-time finish in the box.
While PSG continued to dominate and not carve out many openings, Nice did go close to pulling themselves on 42 minutes through Nicolas Pepe's close-range strike, but goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma made the save.
Nice went even closer shortly after the interval through Dante, who was denied by the woodwork twice in succession as PSG went to sleep at the back.
The home side were a lot more livelier in the second half, which saw a lot more work for Donnarumma, who produced fantastic save to keep out Jean-Clair Todibo's header in the 69th minute.
However, PSG put some daylight between themselves and Nice with 14 minutes to go when Messi's corner was headed in by defender Sergio Ramos.
The second goal knocked the wind out of Nice's sail in the latter stages of the second half, which allowed PSG to see out the closing stages with relative ease.
