Kylian Mbappe reaches huge Paris Saint-Germain milestone

Kylian Mbappe has reached a huge Paris Saint-Germain milestone following his hat trick in their 4-0 win over Vannes OC on Monday night.

The forward scored three goals in 17 minutes to help his side secure a comfortable one-sided victory in the Coupe de France Round of 32 clash.

The trio of strikes meant that the 2018 World Cup winner became only the third player in the club's history to score 150 goals.

Mbappe can now set his sights on Zlatan Ibrahimovic's 156-goal tally and possibly surpass the Swede who is PSG's second-highest all-time top scorer, while Manchester United star Edinson Cavani holds the No. 1 spot with 201 strikes.

In the post-match press conference, the talisman reflected on the milestone he reached and the positives he could take away from the game.

"These 150 goals are a source of pride," he said, per PSG's official website.

"Scoring so much in such a big club, it's always a pleasure.

"We are that three, the gap is narrowing more and more. I am lucky to be next to two great players, I know that Ibrahimovic is not far away.

"But the most important thing is qualification and to continue to prepare well for the upcoming deadlines.

"It's important because in the Cup, if you lose you are eliminated.

"But we stayed focused from start to finish, we always tried to put the intensity necessary to respect this opponent and respect ourselves. We win 4-0, we don't take a goal, we haven't been in trouble and we've scored some great goals.

"We leave with the qualification and we continue our preparation for the resumption of the championship."
