LaLiga boss fires a dig at Mbappe

LaLiga president Javier Tebas has fired a dig at Kylian Mbappe, who snubbed a move to Real Madrid to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe was heavily tipped to join the European champions this season on a free transfer after his contract expired in June.

However, the 23-year-old reportedly had a change of heart and decided to sign a new bumper three-year deal, which sees him earn a reported £650,000-a-week.

The decision certainly angered parts of Madrid and LaLiga, with Tebas now taking a swipe at the 2018 World Cup winner.

"If we look at the clubs where they are, we see that these are clubs that are pouring money," Tebas told Influencers Magazine, as per Daily Mail.

"Of course, we would have liked them to come, but they weren't there last year either.

"Mbappe stayed in a championship that is not competitive."

Mbappe has made a lively start to the 2022/2023 season after netting seven goals in Ligue 1 while he also netted a brace in PSG's UEFA Champions League opener against Juventus this week.
