LaLaLiga World Tour: Sevilla ready to excite African football fans

Five-time UEFA Europa League winners Sevilla take on Tanzanian Premier League champions Simba SC at the National Stadium in Dar Es Salaam today for the LaLiga World Tour challenge.

As part of the LaLiga intention to increase their global reach of the Spanish top-flight into Africa, Sevilla have spent the week in East Africa ahead of their encounter that kicks off at 19:00 (CAT).

In the build up to the game, head coach Joaquín Caparrós confirmed that he would step down from his role as head coach after the match against Simba - but that did not deter his excitment of their unique tour.

Caparrós, who will continue working at the club in another capacity confirmed the entire squad and technical team 'are excited' to bring joy to the football loving nation, who has notably welcomed Los Rojiblancos with open arms.

Sevilla finished fifth in LaLiga while Simba SC beat Singida United 2-0 on Tuesday to retain the Tanzania Premier League title.

The Spanish side is expected to field a full strength squad with captain and 2010 FIFA World Cup winner Jesus Navas confirming the match won't be taken lightly.

"We really want the fans to enjoy the game," Navas said. "We can't forget that we facing a team that are national champions."
