FC Barcelona confirm another player exit

Following the recent departure of goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, FC Barcelona have confirmed the exit of another player, one who spent the second half of the 2018/19 campaign on loan in the Premier League with Arsenal.

Cillessen, 30, brought an end to his three-year stay with the Spanish giants, after it was confirmed last Wednesday that the Dutchman had signed a four-year deal with Los Che.

Ernesto Valverde's side took to their official social media accounts on Sunday night to confirm that they have parted ways with Denis Suarez, revealing that the former Arsenal loanee has joined Celta Vigo.

"FC Barcelona and Celta Vigo have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Denis Suarez. The Galician team will pay FC Barcelona €12.9 million plus €3.1 million in add-ons," a statement on Barca's official website read.

Suarez, 25, completes his return to the Celtics, where he spent most of his youth career, after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal.

The midfielder made 71 appearances for Barca, finding the back of the net on eight occasions and registering 11 assists.

Suarez becomes the club's fourth official departure in the current transfer window, after the exits of Cilessen (Valencia), Andre Gomes (Everton) and Paco Alcacer (Borussia Dortmund).
