BREAKING: Barcelona re-sign Spanish star

A Premier League star has now officially rejoined Barcelona after leaving the LaLiga giants in 2011.

Hector Bellerin has secured a return to his boyhood club after mutually terminating his deal with Arsenal.

The fullback has reportedly joined the Blaugrana on a one-year deal, and is understood to have taken a pay cut to ensure the transfer went through.

Bellerin leaves as the Gunners' longest-serving player in the current squad, having joined the club as a 16-year-old in 2011 from the Catalan giants.

Reports suggest that Real Betis were keen on signing the 27-year-old permanently following his loan spell there in the 2021/22 season, but an issue with LaLiga player registration protocols scuppered that deal.

With Bellerin having now left the Emirates, he becomes the eighth player the London club has negotiated contract terminations with over the past two years, with others including Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
