Already outscoring Lionel Messi at the same age, African-born wonderkid Ansu Fati has now added his name to yet another page in FC Barcelona's history books.
On Sunday evening, 17-year-old Fati netted his seventh goal of the LaLiga campaign when he scored in the 87th minute of Barca's 4-1 win over Villarreal.

Upon doing so, the prodigious forward ensured that his name would forever be engraved in the history books after his strike saw Barca bring up the milestone of 9000 competitive goals since the club was founded in 1899.
Fati, who was born in Guinea but has since elected to represent Spain, turns 18 in October and has already scored more goals for the Catalan giants than the esteemed Messi had at the same age, not to mention the host of records he has already broken.

Upon scoring his first goal for the club in August last year, he became the club's youngest-ever goalscorer before becoming the youngest player to score and assist a goal in a single LaLiga match the following month.
He then became the youngest goalscorer in UEFA Champions League history in December, prior to which he had already become the youngest-ever player to represent Barca in the competition.
