Premier League announce Goal of the Season contenders

The nine contenders for the Premier League Goal of the Season award have been revealed.

On Tuesday, in conjunction with sponsors Budweiser, the Premier League revealed the nominees for the 2020/21 Goal of the Season award, with the selection drawn from the season's nine Goal of the Month winners.

Voting for the award is open until 3 June and the winner will be announced later this week once the final tally of votes from the public are combined with those of a panel of football experts to decide which goal emerges victorious.

 

The nominees for the 2020/21 Premier League Goal of the Season award:

James Maddison (Manchester City 2-5 Leicester City – 27 September 2020
Manuel Lanzini (Tottenham Hotspur 3-3 West Ham United) – 18 October 2020
Ola Aina (Fulham 2-0 West Bromwich Albion) – 2 November 2020
Sebastien Haller (West Ham United 1-1 Crystal Palace – 16 December 2020
Mohamed Salah (West Ham United 1-3 Liverpool) – 31 January 2021
Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United 3-3 Everton) – 6 February 2021
Erik Lamela (Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur) – 14 March 2021
Jesse Lingard (Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-3 West Ham United) – 5 April 2021
Edinson Cavani (Manchester United 1-1 Fulham) – 18 May 2021
