Liverpool's Xherdan Shaqiri hits back at Gary and Phil Neville after severe cricism

With his extensive experience in the Premier League, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan and 74 caps for Switzerland - the diminutive winger was criticised for his alleged lack of impact with Stoke City.

Gary Neville branded Shaqiri "unprofessional" after Stoke's relegation while brother Phil labelled him a "disgrace".

"I think I played three years already in the Premier League and I've proved I can play here. I can score goals and give assists. I know the league well. I have a lot of experience. I was the top scorer in the [Stoke] team with goals and assists, so I don't have to say any more.

"I think everybody knows that [I was the best player last season]. My conscience is clear."

Shaqiri scored eight goals and registered seven assists in 36 league outings for the Potters during their ill-fated 2017/18 campaign.
