Legendary Egypt coach Hassan Shehata says he would not allowed Mohamed Salah to return to Liverpool after his injury.
Salah is continuing his rehab in England after picking up an injury during the 2-2 draw against Ghana last week.
The Reds star is only expected to return to the national side if they make it to the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Shehata, who is a three-time AFCON winning-coach, believes Salah should be with the team in Ivory Coast.
"The EFA officials are the ones who allowed Salah to leave," Shehata said, as per KingFut.
"But I would have preferred him to continue with the team because he is the captain and can unite the players as the upcoming phase is crucial.
"If I still were the Egypt manager, I would not have agreed to his departure because he is the captain of the team.
"He would hold continuous meetings with the players as their leader, discussing what he is thinking about, as nobody is currently thinking about the team as he does."
