Cameroon coach responds to 'rift' with Onana

Cameroon head coach Rigobert Song has responded to claims there is a 'rift' with goalkeeper Andre Onana, who was dropped for the match against Gambia.

Onana missed Cameroon's first game of the tournament after arriving on the day of the game but returned in the second game against Senegal, where they lost 3-1.

Song then surprisingly dropped the Manchester United shot-stopper against Gambia, which the team ended up winning 3-2 and advanced to the knockout round of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Indomitable Lions face Nigeria on Saturday night, but Song insists there is no issues with any of his goalkeepers.

"I have no problem with my goalkeepers," the coach told reporters, as per SuperSport.

"They are all competitive and ready to respond when they need to play. There is no controversy. They get along very well."

Song is well aware of the amount of goals his side have conceded in the group stages as they take on the Super Eagles.

"We have already conceded six goals and tomorrow we will find the formula to not concede," he added.

"We will try to put Nigeria in difficulty and fight to continue in the competition. I know what needs to be done so that we do everything possible tomorrow to obtain a positive result."
