Namibia qualified for the knockout stages of this year's Africa Cup of Nations after a goalless draw with Mali in the Group E finale on Wednesday evening.
Black Leopards' Bethuel Muzeu got his first start of the tournament alongside, as the Malians welcomed back midfield pair Yves Bissouma and Aliou Dieng.
Namibia received the first big chance well over ten minutes played when Prins Tjiueza pulled to the shoulder to shape a shot which goalkeeper Djigui Diarra tipped on the foot of the post.
A strong response from Les Aigles showed as Fousseni Diabate came in on the right and cut inside to unleash a powerful left-footed shot to the near post, but Lloyd Kazapua repelled.
The Eagles continued to show dominance and missed a golden chance on the half-hour mark when a glancing header from Lassine Sinayoko narrowly shaved the far post.
However, an own-goal nearly saw the Malians fell behind late in the half as the spell of pressure from Muzeu proved too much to bear.
Within the opening stages of the second period, the Eagles strangely enough withdrew forwards Sinayoko and Youssoufou Niakate and installed Ibrahim Sissoko and Kamory Doumbia.
Namibia engineered the better of the opening spell which saw Hotto from an awkward position play a forward pass to Ngero Katua to take aim, but he slammed wide.
The Eagles pushed to the fore a little later and witnessed a rasping free-kick launched by Bissouma fizzle across the face of goal and well past target.
Neither side found the winner, but it didn't matter as the result ensured the Brave Warriors claim a first-ever spot in the knockout stages alongside Les Aigles.
