PSL ballers who own a Volkswagen

Volkswagen is a brand that most South Africans recognise, and some of their cars are the most wanted and owned vehicles in Mzansi. Let's look at which ballers in the PSL have their own one.

Whether it is a Golf 7 R, Golf 7 GTI, or the Golf 7 TSI, one thing we know for sure, is that the colloquially known Vrrr-pah! Is an absolute must-have for many of the PSL stars.

The VW Golf 7 range is not our only focus, as we look at those stars who own other VWs, including the Polo range, which can also be available in various models.

Cape Town City's Mduduzi Mdantsane has a sporty Polo GTI with an inbuilt glass sunroof, perfect for the Mother City's tropical temperatures.

Lehlohonolo 'Major' Majoro is also a proud owner of the Golf 7 GTI. The Amazulu striker is quite a fascinating guy, given that he's well-traveled in the PSL, his career spans over a decade, and for those who don't know, he is also educated - with a Degree in Radiology from the University of Johannesburg.

Sipho Mbule also seems to be a fan of the car-maker, as he was recently spotted driving a stunning VW on his Instagram

While we cannot really say why this auto manufacturer is adored so much, particularly for the Golf and Polo range, one thing we do know is that speed, performance, comfort, and convenience must be some of the reasons because this company sure does serve well when it comes to those perks.

Some players who are a super-fan of the German car-maker include Amakhosi legend Siphiwe 'Shabba' Tshabalala and recently departed Orlando Pirates star Gladwin Shitolo – click through the gallery to find out who else owns a VW!

Did you know?

The much-anticipated Golf 8 GTI has finally arrived in Mzansi, however, the official media launch will only be taking place later this month on 23 August.

According to News24, the new Golf 8 GTI is priced at R669 300, and South Africa is one of the most extensive Golf GTI markets outside of Europe.

We don't know which PSL baller will get their hands on it first, but it is very likely that at least one of Mzansi's ballers won't resist the temptation, right?

Your thoughts, please?

Which of the Volkswagen car models is your favourite, and please tell us why? Also, please let us know your thoughts on the new Golf 8 GTI.
