With the new year only three weeks away, here are the most expensive rides secured by South African-based footballers in 2021.
What Happened?
The past year was an eventful one for the DStv Premiership players, coaches and chairmen as many got themselves some new rides. Only the highest-paid players can afford to buy a motor that is a limited edition and not feel the price tag in their wallets.

A Royal AM affair
When it comes to expensive rides, the first name that pops into your mind would have to be Andile Mpisane. The 20-year-old got himself multiple stunning luxury rides including a Mercedes Maybach, two AMGs and more that are worth over R6 million.
Royal AM truly does it like no other with the bosses giving their manager John Maduka a BMW X5 to use which is valued at R1.5 million. This way, the head coach can ensure that he travels to matches and training in true royal fashion.
Benni McCarthy's comfortable ride
In September, the AmaZulu head coach was awarded a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, worth at least R624 995. The Bafana Bafana legend was seemingly rewarded for the excellent work he has done with the eThekwini-based side.
Willard Katsande's G-Wagon
After the defensive midfielder left Kaizer Chiefs, he took to Instagram to show off one of the most popular rides in the world today. He has a white Mercedes G-Wagon worth R2.5 million in the current market. It's not confirmed whether the Zimbabwean owns the SUV because he has not officially announced it.
