Mamelodi Sundowns coach Steve Komphela flexes R280 000 motorbike

Mamelodi Sundowns first-team coach Steve Komphela flexed more than his biceps recently when he was pictured with a powerful R280 000 Harley Davidson.

Komphela, 53, is arguably one of the fittest coaches in the DStv Premiership and often shares videos and images of himself hard at work in the gym which shows in his ripped stature of late.

But the Sundowns coach has shown a different side of his lifestyle of the pitch which is clearly glamorous, judging by the choice of motorbike he shared on Instagram.

The Heritage Softail

The eloquent tactician who's been enjoying a dream start to life in Tshwane alongside co-head coaches Manqoba Mngqithi and Rhulani Mokwena was kitted in Harley gear with the 2011 version of the famed ride.

Described as the "quintessential American cruiser", it represents a showstopping motorcycle with vintage details and a pure "rock and roll" style.

What makes it special?

The 1600cc ride epitomises longevity - with the classic ride the only Softail that's been in the Harley line-up in over 35 years now as other models came and went.

When it first came out, like the latest version of the motorbike it retailed for R280 000 to R300 000 - but the exact 2011 model can now be acquired via Autotrader at a cut-price R120 000.

Not a bike for beginners but offers supreme comfort with its leather backrest and the windshield is optional as it has a detachable option.

Did you know?

Of its $6-billion annual revenue, clothing accounts for 5% of Harley Davidson's total sales.

Your thoughts, please?

Is Komphela the trendiest coach in the DStv Premiership?
