Luvuyo Memela's speedy car collection

AmaZulu star Luvuyo Memela leads a relatively quiet life as you do not often see him in the limelight for lifestyle-related reasons, but we break that barrier and have a look at some of his prized vehicles. Check it out!

What happened?

The former Orlando Pirates winger has had a successful career that saw him shine as he dribbled past defenders with ease. Even at the age of 34, the forward remains one of the most difficult stars to stop on the pitch. Memela easily goes past other players and so can his impressive rides that skip through traffic at rapid speed.

Golf GTI

Memela often takes pictures next to this car, therefore it can be assumed that it belongs to him. The ride appears to be a 2017 model of the Golf GTI, a car that is notorious for its ability to pick up speed.

In its standard version, the car is equipped with the standard six-speed manual transmission and sprints from zero to 96 kph in a brisk 5.9 seconds. When the car was released, this ride was valued at $29 076 (R461 421), making it one of the most expensive vehicles at the time, according to cars.usnew.

BMW 5 Series

This is another ride that Memela often takes photos with. The year model remains unconfirmed but it appears to be a 2012 BMW 5 series, a car that was truly built for fast driving and reportedly worth R220 000.

The vehicle looks conservative on the outside, but it actually packs a range of advanced-tech firepower and fuel-efficient engines to make sure Memela is never late to Benni McCarthy's training sessions.

Any other rides?

Other rides include a 2017 Hyundai Tucson 1.7CRDi Executive that was priced in the region of R449 900 when it was released.

Did you know?

Memela had his breakout season under in the 2014/15 season when he almost led Cape Town Stars to promotion to the DStv Premiership.

Your thoughts, please?

What do you think of the rides?
