German carmaker Audi is by far in that bracket of well-respected cars in South Africa, and some of the DStv Premiership's stars including Thabang Monare and Virgil Vries are bullying the streets with their wheels.
Founded in 1909, German automotive manufacturer Audi is easily one of the most recognisable car brands on the road today. The likes of Orlando Pirates' Monare and Moroka Swallows' goalkeeper Vries have decided on Audi as their rides.

Vries has the powerful Audi RS3, and the classy and stylish hatchback has surely earned the former Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper some street cred. The strong-handed star is not too shy to pose next to his stunning vehicle, and who would blame him?
Mamelodi Sundowns legend Hlompho Kekana and another Swallows player Austin Muwowo has also been seen flexing Audis.
With Kekana it seems as though the long-range shot specialist had a partnership with the brand as he has been seen driving different Audis, with his name usually printed on the side of the vehicle.
These paid partnerships are not uncommon in the sport as Pirates captain Happy Jele also has one with Lexus, which is a luxury vehicle division of Toyota.
Did you know?
Audi are believed to have been the first carmaker to crash-test their cars, and in a rather surprising fashion, it is said that their engineers simply pushed the car down a hill in front of a group of spectators.
Today, things are very different as there is sophisticated technology to conduct these crash tests.
