Here are players who had a Soweto Derby to forget

A Derby to forget for…

The young Amakhosi defender had a nightmare at the back. He gave away a penalty which goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune. He never looked comfortable, often struggling with the pace of Mulenga and Justin Shonga

The former Ajax Cape Town defender was all over the place and did not look like he was the experienced one leading Ngezana in defence. His poor clearance gifted Pirates their second goal, while he was booked in the second half for a tackle just outside the area. Like Ngezana, Booysen struggled with the pace of the Pirates attackers.

The Colombian made a return after spending some weeks out with an injury and it was clear that he was lacking match fitness. Castro wasted a good opportunity early in the second half after he was played through by Siphelele Ntshangase. He was taken off in the second half as Ryan Moon was introduced.

Goalkeepers pride themselves in keeping clean sheets and Mpontshane would not have been happy with the way he conceded the first goal, letting Khama Billiat put the ball into an empty after he failed to clear when he came off his line.
