OFFICIAL: Sekhukhune United unveil new signing

DStv Premiership side Sekhukhune United has unveiled midfielder Given Mashikinya as their latest signing following his departure from Maritzburg United.

Mashikinya joins Babina Noko from Maritzburg United where he made 11 appearances for the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.

"I'd like to thank the Management of the club for having afforded me an opportunity to become part of the family," told the club's media.

"I'm excited to be here I'm going to work hard to maintain the good name of the Club. Its interesting times ahead I'm looking forward to the remaining part of the season and beyond."

The midfielder recently parted ways with the Team of Choice following the arrival of Fadlu Davids.

Mashikinya had joined Maritzburg United at the start of the season alongside John Maduka from neighbours Royal AM, but the side is currently at the bottom of the premiership table with just two wins in 13 outings.

Sekhukhune themselves have not fared much better and are equal on points with Maritzburg United. Babina Noko recently parted ways with Kaitano Tembo following a poor run of form. Brandon Truter has been roped in as new head coach.

Mashikinya is the latest of a string of departures expected at the KwaZulu-Natal outfit including Tshidiso Monamodi, Lucky Baloyi and Lelethu Skelem.
