As Kaizer Chiefs reportedly step up their pursuit of Polokwane City talisman Oswin Appollis, club legend Doctor Khumalo has revealed his conversation with the in-demand Bafana Bafana star.
Chiefs have made no secret of their interest in Appollis and begun making enquiries about the speedy star, according to recent reports.

The player himself is understood to also be frustrated by the situation, as City snubbed advances from various club in the last transfer window.
In the midst of the drama, Bafana and Chiefs legend Khumalo has revealed a brief conversation he had with Appollis regarding a move to Naturena.
"One game of Bafana Bafana in Cape Town, Appollis was Man of the Match, and I handed over the cheque. So, I called him to the side as I really wanted to know what is blocking him from joining Chiefs," Khumalo said on SABC Sport's SoccerZone.
"He says: 'It's not me, coach. It's not me, legend. I don't know why am I not able to join Chiefs'.
"But I asked him: 'What do you want?' and he said: 'I want to grow'.
"I wondered how Appollis wants to grow because growth can happen in many different ways.
"I asked if he wanted to grow in terms of football or what, and he answered: 'Yes, maybe something that can be challenging'," revealed the 1996 AFCON winner.
