The former Rubin Kazan coach replaces Igor Gamula, who has since returned back to the club’s youth academy.
Gamula was recently slapped with a 5-match ban after he passed racist remarks towards African players, which also forced Xulu to boycott the club's training.
Meanwhile, Xulu’s agent Paul Mitchel has ruled out any possibility of his client returning to the PSL this season.
"We are not talking to any team in the PSL.
“Siyanda is back in Durban, where he is training with the academy where he started his soccer career," he added.
