Another trophy hunt for Ngezana

Siyabonga Ngezana could have another night of celebrations on Thursday with his second trophy in sight just a year after escaping from the silverware drought at Kaizer Chiefs.

Ngezana's club FCSB play in the Romanian Supercup, pitting the league champions against the Romanian Cup winners, who are Corvinul Hunedoara.

Though they last won this trophy in 2013, FCSB remain the most successful with six titles.

As the top league champions, FCSB will go into the match this evening (19h00) as favourites against the second-tier club.

Ngezana is due to make his debut in the UEFA Champions League next week with his club up against AC Virtus from San Marino in the first qualifying round.

Should they prevail, then they will face Maccabi Tel Aviv with the third qualifying round and play-offs round to play, before they get into the group stages.

The 26-year-old has reaped further benefits of moving to Romania by also breaking into the Bafana Bafana squad
