Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki has named five players to replace those who have withdrawn from their camp for the upcoming 2022 AFCON qualifiers.
Ntseki has had to replace nearly a quarter of his squad for the back-to-back clashes against Sao Tome and Principe in the course of the next week.
Overseas-based Thulani Serero and Thibang Phete as well as Andile Jali and Reeve Frosler were all withdrawn due to injuries sustained this past weekend, while Thamsanqa Mkhize and Abbubaker Mobara are in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19.
With the team assembling in Durban ahead of Friday night's encounter at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Orlando Pirates star Vincent Pule's showing in the recent Soweto Derby has earned him a call-up, along with Thapelo Morena, Mosa Lebusa, Tshepo Rikhotso and Thabo Nodada.
The five players are no strangers to the national team setup, having formed part of past Bafana squads before.
The likes of Bongani Zungu, Dean Furman and Kamohelo Mokotjo have yet to report for camp as they travel from the UK and the United States respectively.
