SAFA president Danny Jordaan vows to resolve issues between Bongani Zungu and Molefi Ntseki

Ntseki named a 25-man Bafana squad for their back-to-back 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe in March, with Zungu having been one of the surprise omissions.

This appeared to have left the France-based star bemused as, just hours after the squad announcement, he tweeted 'Wow', coupled with a laughing emoji; but following some criticism, the tweet was later deleted.

During an online press conference with the South African Football Journalists Association (SAFJA), Jordaan opened up on the issue and assured that things will be sorted out, with Zungu having asked to be repatriated along with national teammate Lebogang Phiri.

"I phoned Zungu and spoke to him. In fact, I spoke to him on Saturday because he told me his team has been relegated and he wants to come back to the country now – both him and Lebogang Phiri," said Jordaan.

"And he wants from us is to speak to the government to assist them to come home, because of the lockdown and there's no international flights, so it's something that we'll work on.
