South Africa's national under-23 team will soon be headed to Tokyo for the 2020 Olympic games and one PSL star is keen to step in as one of the overage players.
Coach David Notoane earlier this week released a 60-man shortlist of locally based players he is considering for the global showpiece set to take place from July 24 to August 9.

Amongst them are a number of players being considered for the three over-23 spots, including SuperSport United and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.
The 28-year-old, who missed out on the opportunity to feature at the Olympics during his time as a junior international, believes he could add value as the regular under-23 'keepers are currently lacking game-time at their respective club sides.
"It's wonderful news for me, you know. The past six or seven months have been amazing for me, playing more games for Bafana and also now with the Olympics coming up – I mean, this is every footballer's dream," said Williams.

"I'm hoping I can stay injury free, finish the season strong and then hopefully be part of the final team going to Tokyo. I think it's challenging for the coaches, because the goalkeepers that are there [in under-23] are not playing.
"So, you don't want to go with a goalkeeper that hasn't played competitively, you want to go there knowing that everyone is in the right frame of mind, because goalkeeping is different – if you're out of action for long, it takes quite some time to adjust to everything.
"I mean, hopefully Mondli [Mpoto] or Darren Johnson start playing then it's more of a challenge. They took the team there, so if I was them, I'd double my efforts to make sure I'm playing at my club."
