Andile Jali doubtful for Bafana Bafana vs Sao Tome with hamstring injury

Jali picked up a hamstring injury during Sundowns' 2-0 DStv Premiership victory over Cape Town City on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old was named man of the match for his performance at Cape Town Stadium but was stretchered off the field towards the end of the second half with what was suspected to be a hamstring injury.

'Gattuso' as Jali is affectionately known has since undergone a scan to determine the extent of his injury and is currently awaiting the results before the national team assembles in Johannesburg next week.

Jali has been in fine form for The Brazilians so far this season having already won two man-of-the-match awards, thus maintaining the levels he reached in 2019/20.
