Swallows FC to use Makhulong Stadium as alternative home venue in PSL Absa Premiership

Soccer fans in Tembisa will breathe a sigh of relief to learn that Swallows FC could play some of their home games at Makhulong Stadium next season.

Tembisa could be without professional football next season after news emerged that Highlands Park is in the process of being sold.

Prospective buyer, lawyer and businessman Tim Sukazi, looks set to relocate the team to Mpumalanga next season.

The Dube Birds have traditionally used Dobsonville Stadium as their home venue and are expected to use it in the PSL again next season.

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes Dobsonville is not up to scratch for Premiership football after using it as their designated home venue inside the bio-bubble.

However, club boss of the Soweto-based team David Mogashoa wants to propose to the PSL that they use Makhulong Stadium as their alternative venue.

"We are going to keep Dobsonville Stadium as our home venue and use Makhulong Stadium as an alternative venue," Mogashoa tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"We will formally announce our plans for next season very soon."

The Dube Birds have given their players two weeks off before they need to return for pre-season training.
