Royal AM set to retain Bloemfontein Celtic technical team in DStv Premiership

This was revealed by former Bloemfontein Celtic boss Max Tshabalala when he bid his former players goodbye on Monday.

Tshabalala sold Celtic to Durban-based businesswoman Shaun Mkhize who has subsequently renamed the club Royal AM and relocated the club.

Tshabalala has assured the players and technical team officials that their contracts are still safe with Royal AM and the club boss Mkhize has shown confidence in Maduka to continue leading the team.

"The chairlady said she wants all the technical team," Tshabalala said.

"The technical team will be the head coach, John Maduka, Abraham 'Wire' Nteo, [Ditheko] Mototo and Simon Gopane. They also want the physical trainer and the [performance] analyst."

Meanwhile, Tshabalala revealed that he will not be totally lost from local football and will retain the club's academy structure.

"From our side, we still have Bloemfontein Celtic. We have got junior players. We still gonna continue," he confirmed. "It shows that I am not gonna go out of football.

"I get out of football because I can't afford Premier League status. That's it."

The sale of Siwelele which was ratified by the Premier Soccer League on Tuesday ends their 52-year history in South African football.
